Ronald R. Barkley M.S., J.D. Mr. Barkley is an accomplished healthcare business development and operations officer/ attorney with a record of success in providing managerial leadership to healthcare service organizations in a variety of market settings, including hospital/health system, ambulatory care, medical group practice and managed care provider networks. He is passionate about rationalizing the system of healthcare delivery and its inherent costs of care. Ron is skilled in leading organizations through their next level of enterprise growth and stabilization through operational efficiencies, strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions and organizational re-engineering/re-structuring. Most recently, Ron served as the Executive Director of a regional community oncology medical group and was responsible for both the operational re-engineering of the group and, as well, the development and implementation of a model regional cancer center joint venture aligning the interests of The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, the local hospital/health system and the community oncology group. Mr. Barkley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences/Physiology from Michigan State University, a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from California State University and earned his law degree (J.D.) after attending Southwestern University/California College of Law. Ron is an active member of the State Bar of California, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Medical Group Management Association. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Hematology Oncology News & Issues and is a Co-Chair of the Cancer Center Business Summit, a national forum that explores the business, financial and organizational imperatives for success in the delivery of cancer care at the community level. |
