William M. Jordan
Dr. Bill Jordan is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine with a medical oncology management career of over 25 years, including research, education and advanced business system development. He has extensive experience in developing and deploying strategies for multi-organizational, multi-level collaboration and integration. Bill’s emphasis is on highly effective, practical delivery of services and outcomes within oncology organizations, focusing on quality and economic concerns in today’s healthcare environment.
He is founding partner of Matrix Holdings, LLC, which owns and manages multiple medically-related assets, technologies and management organizations, and is Founder, Past- President and CEO of The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. The “Center” owns and operates ten cancer centers in the North Texas region and has developed business collaborative relationships with multiple organizations, including private and public hospital systems, academic centers, clinical providers and payer systems. Dr. Jordan is a past recipient of the Foley and Lardner “Innovator of the Year” Award for innovative strategies in cancer center business structuring.
Bill is experienced in developing and managing integrated systems in oncology as well as merger and acquisition processes among community and academic healthcare providers. He is co-founder of Oncology Metrics, Inc. (div Altos Solutions) which is a nationally recognized authority in consulting, advanced data management, analytics and benchmarking in oncology. He has extensive experience in the development and adoption of advanced electronic health record systems and served as National Medical Director of iKnowMed, Inc., which is currently the EHR system utilized by US Oncology.
Dr. Jordan attended Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology. He attended medical school at The University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City and completed his oncology fellowship and was on faculty in Developmental Therapeutics at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He has participated in clinical research through the Cancer Education and Research Foundation of Texas, the N.C.I., and multiple national cooperative research organizations and university-based cancer centers. He has served on the clinical faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He serves on the Advisory Board of The Cancer Center Business Summit, has served on ASCO’s Clinical Practice Committee and is immediate past-president of the Texas Society of Medical Oncology. Dr. Jordan consults and speaks at a national level and has published and presented clinical and strategic business concepts in national venues.
